Centralized Power Supply RFID Locker Locks

Place the newly provided wiring photo here.

For large fixed locker installations, RFID locker locks can be configured with a centralized wired power supply instead of individual batteries.

Each lock is connected through concealed wiring to the project power supply. This reduces routine battery replacement and is particularly useful where a large number of lockers are installed together.

Centralized-power installations are best planned together with the locker manufacturer so cable routes, connectors and installation space can be prepared during cabinet production.

مهم: Centralized power supply describes how the locks receive electrical power. It does not necessarily mean that all locks are centrally controlled. RFID credential management can remain standalone or use a compatible management system depending on the selected configuration.

Recommended For

  • Large fixed locker banks
  • New locker production projects
  • Commercial changing rooms
  • High-frequency locker installations

What is an RFID cabinet lock?

An RFID cabinet lock is an electronic lock that opens after reading an authorized RFID card, wristband or key fob. The lock verifies the credential and controls the locking mechanism electronically, so users do not need a mechanical key. RFID cabinet locks are widely used for gym, spa, sauna, swimming-pool, school, office and staff lockers. Most standalone models operate locally and do not require Wi-Fi.

What is the difference between 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz RFID locker locks?

A 125 kHz RFID locker lock normally works with low-frequency credentials such as EM4100, TK4100 or T5577 cards and wristbands. It is economical and suitable for simple locker projects.

A 13.56 MHz lock commonly supports MIFARE credentials and offers more options for encrypted data and multi-application systems. It is often selected when one card must work with membership, entrance access and lockers. The exact chip and data format must be confirmed before ordering.

Can an existing gym membership card open the locker?

Yes, an existing membership card may be used if its frequency, chip type and data format are compatible with the locker lock. For example, a 125 kHz card cannot be read by a lock designed only for 13.56 MHz credentials.

Before bulk production, YonAnn recommends sending one or more membership-card samples for compatibility testing. We will check the card frequency, chip, UID or sector-reading requirements and recommend the correct lock version.

What is public mode on an RFID locker lock?

Public mode allows users to choose any available locker temporarily. A user presents an authorized card or wristband to claim and lock an available cabinet. Only the same credential can reopen that locker during the current use. After the user opens and releases it, the locker becomes available for another user.

Public mode is commonly used in gyms, swimming pools, spas, saunas and other shared locker rooms.

What is the difference between public mode and private mode?

Public mode is designed for shared, temporary locker use. Users can select any available locker, and the locker is released after use.

Private mode assigns a specific card or wristband to a specific locker. The same user normally uses the assigned locker repeatedly until the administrator changes the authorization.

Public mode is suitable for gyms and pools with changing visitors, while private mode is better for employees, students, club members or other users who need a permanently assigned locker.

Can one master card open all lockers?

Yes. An authorized master or management card can normally be programmed to open all lockers within a designated project or management group. Different master cards can also be created for separate floors, locker rooms or staff-management zones, depending on the selected system.

For security, master cards should only be issued to authorized personnel and stored under a documented management procedure. The exact master-card configuration should be confirmed before production.

Can a lost wristband be deleted?

Yes. A lost RFID wristband can be removed or replaced, but the procedure depends on the lock’s operating mode and management system.

For standalone locks, staff can use an authorized management or deletion card to cancel the old credential or reset the affected locker. In a software-managed system, the administrator can invalidate the lost wristband and issue a replacement. For public-mode lockers, staff can open and reset the occupied locker so the lost wristband no longer controls it.

Do RFID cabinet locks require Wi-Fi?

No. Most standalone RFID cabinet locks read cards or wristbands locally and operate on batteries without Wi-Fi, a gateway or a continuous internet connection. This makes them suitable for projects where stable network coverage is unavailable.

Wi-Fi or another network connection is only required if the project needs additional online functions such as centralized status monitoring, remote management or real-time records. These functions require a compatible connected locker-lock system rather than a standard standalone RFID lock.

What happens when the batteries are completely discharged?

RFID cabinet locks normally provide a low-battery warning before the batteries are fully discharged. If the warning is ignored, the lock will eventually stop responding to cards or wristbands.

Depending on the model, authorized staff can use an external emergency power interface, emergency battery box, mechanical key or emergency release method to open the locker. After replacing the batteries, the programmed settings are normally retained. The required emergency-opening method should be confirmed when selecting the lock.

Are RFID locker locks suitable for humid sauna and swimming-pool areas?

Yes, selected RFID locker locks are suitable for humid locker rooms in saunas, spas and swimming pools. For these projects, YonAnn recommends corrosion-resistant finishes, protected electronic components and waterproof silicone RFID wristbands.

However, the lock should not be exposed to direct water spray, continuous condensation or high-temperature steam unless the selected model has a verified protection rating for that environment. The installation location and humidity conditions should be reviewed before ordering.

Can the locks be installed on wood, metal, HPL and plastic lockers?

Yes. YonAnn RFID cabinet locks can be installed on wooden, metal, HPL and plastic locker doors when the correct lock body, latch and mounting method are selected.

Before production, please provide the cabinet material, door thickness, opening direction, door gap, internal structure and available mounting space. Metal doors may affect RFID reading or require a different installation method, so a sample installation test and approved drilling drawing are recommended before bulk installation.

What information is required before placing a bulk order?

Please provide the following project information:

  • Required quantity
  • Locker material and door thickness
  • Door opening direction and internal structure
  • Lock dimensions or installation drawings
  • Required RFID frequency and card chip
  • Public or private operating mode
  • Card, wristband and master-card quantities
  • Required color, logo and locker numbering
  • Packaging and certification requirements
  • Shipping destination and required delivery date

Photos, videos or a physical locker-door sample can help YonAnn confirm installation compatibility before production.

Can YonAnn customize the logo, color, number and wristband?

Yes. YonAnn provides OEM and ODM customization for RFID cabinet-lock projects. Available options include lock colors and finishes, laser-engraved or printed logos, sequential locker numbers, customized packaging and project-specific accessories.

RFID wristbands can also be customized with different colors, chip types, printed or engraved numbers and customer branding. Customization availability and MOQ depend on the lock model, wristband design, production process and order quantity. A pre-production sample can be provided for approval.

What is the MOQ and sample lead time?

YonAnn accepts sample orders for product and card-compatibility testing. Standard samples can normally be prepared within 1–3 working days after the model, RFID type and payment are confirmed.

The MOQ for bulk orders depends on the selected lock model and customization requirements. Standard products usually have a lower MOQ, while customized colors, logos, packaging and molded wristbands may have separate minimum quantities. Please send the required model, quantity and customization details for an exact MOQ and delivery schedule.

How do I choose between RFID, password and Bluetooth locker locks?

Choose RFID locks for gyms, spas, saunas and pools where users need fast access with cards or waterproof wristbands. RFID is especially suitable for high-frequency use and shared public lockers.

Choose password locks when users should access lockers without carrying a physical credential. They are suitable for small private lockers and temporary storage.

Choose Bluetooth locks when app-based access, electronic keys or more flexible user management is required. Bluetooth systems provide more management options but may require a smartphone, app onboarding and an optional gateway for remote functions.

Can RFID locker locks use centralized power instead of batteries?

نعم.

Selected configurations can use a centralized wired power supply instead of individual batteries. This is especially suitable for large new locker projects where wiring can be planned during cabinet production.

Does centralized power mean the lockers need management software?

لا.

Power supply and credential management are separate configurations.

A centralized-power RFID lock can still operate with standalone RFID management if the selected lock version supports it.

What happens if a battery-powered lock runs out of power?

Compatible models provide low-battery warnings before the battery is completely discharged.

Depending on the model, each models have type-C port to connect power bank for charge .

What happens if centralized power is interrupted?

The response depends on the project power design and selected lock model.

For large centralized-power installations, the required emergency or backup-power strategy should be confirmed during project planning.

Can I order samples before a bulk order?

نعم.

Samples can be used to verify product quality, cabinet installation and RFID-card compatibility before mass production.
